CSIOS Corporation has named Mr. Barry Cox to the role of Corporate Chief Compliance Officer.CSIOS Board of Directors officially approved Mr. Cox's appointment effective October 2, 2017. In this capacity, Mr. Cox will report directly to CSIOS President and CEO, Mr. Cesar Pie. Among others, Mr. Cox will be responsible for overseeing the corporate policy and compliance program. He will ensure that contractual, statutory, regulatory, legal, and other corporate provisions are satisfied and complied with. Mr. Cox will also assist institutionalizing business, mission, and technical standards and best practices to ensure CSIOS continues to up the effectiveness and efficiency of the cyber products and services it delivers."With advanced Six Sigma and Project Management Institute certifications, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Barry becomes another significant piece of the puzzle to the CSIOS' vision." said Mr. Cesar Pie, President and CEO of CSIOS. CSIOS Corporation announced today it was awarded all four Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services (HACS) Special Item Numbers (SINs) on General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70 (SIN 132–51Information Technology Professional Services) including SIN 132–45APenetration Testing,SIN 132–45BIncident Response,SIN 132–45CCyber Hunt,SIN 132–45DRisk and Vulnerability Assessmentservices.
The HACS SINs facilitates the provision of cybersecurity services to the federal, state, and local governments under the following descriptions:
• 132–45APenetration Testingis security testing in which assessors mimic real–world attacks to identify methods for circumventing the security features of an application, system, or network.
• 132–45BIncident Responseservices help organizations impacted by a Cybersecurity compromise determine the extent of the incident, remove the adversary from their systems, and restore their networks to a more secure state.
• 132–45CCyber Huntactivities are responses to crisis or urgent situations within the pertinent domain to mitigate immediate and potential threats. Cyber Hunt activities start with the premise that threat actors known to target some organizations in a specific industry, or specific systems, are likely to also target other organizations in the same industry or with the same systems.
• 132–45DRisk and Vulnerability Assessmentconduct assessments of threats and vulnerabilities, determines deviations from acceptable configurations, enterprise or local policy, assesses the level of risk, and develops and/or recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non–operational situations.
